Promotion Offer Declining Letter
Review Rating Score
Dear Mr. Jalan Tan,
Thank you for extending the offer of a promotion to me. I am honored that my hard work and dedication have been recognized by the company. However, after careful consideration, I regret to inform you that I must decline the promotion offer at this time.
While I appreciate the opportunity for advancement within the company, there are certain personal and professional factors that have influenced my decision. I believe it is important to explain my reasons to give you a better understanding of my situation.
First and foremost, the timing of this promotion offer does not align with my immediate career goals. I have recently embarked on a new personal project that requires my full attention and commitment. Accepting the promotion would require me to divert my focus from this project, which I am not willing to do at this time.
Secondly, I have thoroughly evaluated the added responsibilities and expectations that come with the promotion. While I am confident in my capabilities, I believe that taking on additional workload and managing a higher position would be overwhelming given my current workload and personal commitments outside of work.
Please understand that my decision is not a reflection of my dissatisfaction with the company or the promotion itself. I value the opportunities I have been given thus far and I am committed to continuously grow and contribute within my current role.
Thank you, once again, for considering me for this promotion. I am grateful for your confidence in my abilities. I hope that my decision will not affect my future prospects within the company, and I look forward to continuing to work with you and the team to reach our collective goals.
Sincerely,
[Your Name]
