1. It is important that your job description captures what the customer has asked you to do so that there is no confusion about what constitutes a completed project.
2. Furthermore, you should provide a high-level view of the necessary materials and labor for the project, as well as the associated costs. However, don't get too detailed or picky, as customers can use this against you later.
3. Make sure to correctly tally up the total cost of the project, including any taxes or fees. It is also important to be clear on your payment terms.
4. We always recommend that contractors receive a third to half of the total cost upfront, with the final payment due at the completion of the project. If there are any late payment penalties, make sure to include that information as well.
5. Finally, don't forget to include your sales and company contact information, so that potential clients can easily get in touch with you if they have any questions.
