College Motivation letter
Review Rating Score
A motivation letter is mainly about your 'why'. Why do you want to work at the company? Why does the position appeal to you so much? Why did you choose this profession? Why are you enthusiastic and why do you think you can contribute to the organizational goals? In a motivation letter you have plenty of space to explain your personal qualities and your motivations.
What is important in a Collage motivation letter?
Tips on how to write your College motivation letter:
Original • Motivation letter tip number one? Be original! Originality contributes to a unique impression and therefore you stand out. Copying a cover letter from the internet or using a friend's letter makes no sense at all. Let your own writing talent speak and write on digital paper yourself why you are the ideal candidate for the job.
Focus • Answer the question why you are the perfect candidate. Keep your motivation letter short and concise. Don't use long sentences with dozens of adjectives to introduce yourself and try to avoid clichés. Think of your letter as a short elevator pitch in which you explain in a few sentences why you, your work experience, your education and your qualities suit the position and the company.
Personal • Keep it personal. Vague descriptions can make it difficult for a recruiter to interpret who you really are or even make you seem wrong. Write in your own style and imagine yourself as you are. Oh, and if you know the name of the recruiter or if you see it listed under the vacancy: address your letter there!
Make connections • This list of motivation letter tips should not be missing: make connections and link your skills, relevant work experience and character traits to the position. Why can this come in handy and are you proactive and eager to learn, for example? Why should the recruiter invite you for an interview based on your motivation letter? By making connections, you make an argument much more powerful.
